Outlook 2003

Here are instructions for configuring Outlook 2003 to access your Tigerwave email account.

1. Use the Tools menu to select "E-mail Accounts..."

2. Choose the "Add a new e-mail account" option and click Next.

3. Choose the IMAP option and click Next.

4. Enter your name as you wish it to appear, and the email address assigned to you by Tigerwave Networks. Use host.tigerwave.net for both the incoming and outgoing mail server address. Do not use the sample email address shown below. Under Logon Information, enter your email address again, and your email password. Click the "Remember password" checkbox if you'd like Outlook to remember your password so that you do not have to retype it each time you retrieve email. Do NOT check the SPA box. Click the "More Settings..." button.

5. Choose whatever name you like for your "Mail Account". Set the "Reply E-mail" field to your email address. Do not use the sample return address shown below. You may optionally enter the name of your Organization. Click the "Outgoing Server" tab as shown below.

6. Check the "Outgoing server requires authentication" checkbox. Check the "Use same settings..." option. Click the "Advanced" tab as shown below.

7. Check both "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)" checkboxes. Make sure that the incoming server field is 993 and the outgoing server field is 465. Click the OK button.

8. Click the Finish button. Now you are finished configuring Outlook 2003 to access your Tigerwave email. Be sure to exit Outlook and restart it before attempting to access your email. Otherwise, Outlook may not work properly until you do restart Outlook.
